How to put a puppy to bed

1. Find a nice box for puppy and pad it with a pillow. Place puppy inside.

2. Shake out puppy's blanket really good.

3. Place blanket over puppy and tuck him in.

4. Decide that it looks like such a nice spot, puppy needs to share!

5. Get nice and comfy.

6. Give mom a cheeser smile for the camera! All done!

We had a great two week visit with Chris in South Dakota, Rylie sure did miss her daddy and boy did her daddy miss her! It was so nice to spend some quality time with him and see more of South Dakota, which could become our home in a couple months... we're just not quite sure yet! Ah, the fun of the railroad world! But I have to say, as much fun and snowy it was there, it was so nice to come back to eighty-degree weather in Phoenix! We miss you already honey!

Georgia on my mind...

So I had my plane ticket ready to go for Rylie and I to head up to South Dakota to visit Chris, and 24 hours (almost exactly) before flight time Chris calls and says "Change of plans". His Grandaddy Rylander had been sick for quite a while, and we suddenly knew that we better get down to Americus, Georgia pretty quick so that Chris could say his last goodbye and so that Rylie and myself could finally meet him. It was a bittersweet trip, because as great as it was to meet Rylie's wonderful Great-Grandaddy, it was also sad to be there in town when he passed away on Monday, January 24th. We had no idea it would be that quick - and we were very glad that we flew out when we did. I'm so happy that Rylie and I both could meet him, and that Chris got to see him one last time. I was very happy that we could be there to support the family, and pay our respects. Plus, I know Chris's parents were very happy to spend so much time with their grand-baby. :) Thank you guys for everything! We miss you already!

One of the few shots I got of downtown Americus:

The Rylander Theatre - the Rylander family did some great things for this community! It was amazing to learn of all of Grandaddy Rylander's accomplishments

If all else fails with this kid, just read....

...and read, and read some more!

Daddy!! Chris and Rylie on our way to dinner:

Mmmmm, Johnny Carino's! This girl loves her some Italian! :)

Sweet Memories from End of 2010

Here are some great shots from our family photo session, taken by Janet B Photography here in Phoenix! She did such a wonderful job, we are so happy with them! And an update on Chris - he's doing great in South Dakota so far, the job training is going really well! We miss him very much, but so happy that he's doing so good, and we will be visiting as soon as we can! Hope everyone had a fabulous New Year!
