The Daily Joys (and not-so-joys)

Rylie as a one year old...

It's almost impossible to keep her pinned down in one room, she is all over the place! Especially the spots where you ask her not to go.

She's fascinated with the dog's water bowl, food bowls, dog food... and she also loves feeding them from her high chair, she gets a big kick out of that.

Because of her, I've become an expert cabinet child-proofer.

She'd rather be entertained with a taped up box of tic-tacs, an old remote, measuring cups, or car keys than a cool, expensive toy.

She's learning new habits very easily, the most recent is saying "ahhhhh!" after taking a big sip of liquid (thanks Aunt Laura, haha!)

She's one day going to be a thrill seeker (just like momma, scary), whose going to love rollercoasters, fast cars, jetskis, whatever is fast and fun - she loves being thrown up in the air and "flown" around the house.

She LOVES fruits, especially raspberries! Actually, it's hard to find much that she doesn't like! People in restaurants flip out when they see she loves to suck on lemons and pickles (I wonder who she gets that from!)

I love seeing that smile first thing in the morning... unfortunately it's usually after she stops screaming bloody murder. It's a lovely alarm clock.

She loves the animals so much, it's so cute watching her interact with them. She is still learning to be gentle, but they are so good with her and being very patient!

If there is something in her way, she throws it aside. (Yes, I said throw.)

Singing "Twinkle, twinkle" will usually stop all tears, it especially helps in the car. Although, I do seem to get some strange looks from other drivers.

She's very ticklish, and her mommy never fails to give her at least one good tickle attack a day.

Above all, no matter how much she may drive me crazy at times (or makes me want to cry), God I love her so much. And I cannot imagine life without her.
