One more week! Here we go!

Our last weekend in Las Cruces... it's hard to believe it's coming to an end! We will truly miss this place and the people here. It really is a great place, and we've made some great friends here too. We're glad we aren't going to be TOO far away - and that our friends will come visit often! Our house doesn't look like our house anymore, all the picture frames and personal items have been packed up, and this week we will be going through clothes and closets. We're so excited about getting our new house put together! I secretly like being able to organize everything all over again, even if it doesn't last like that for long. Today my dad and Jeanette came to visit from Albuquerque, and we had a nice time spending time with them and opening our Christmas presents (better late than never right?!) Rylie is slowly getting over her bad cold... boogery eyes and all poor baby. But she's not to sick to play with her awesome new toy from Grandpa and Grandma! It will be nice to get some of her more warm weather outfits out in Phoenix! And I'm sure the warmer weather will help this darn cold too...

While we should be packing...

Just too much fun with this gal... (by the way having major problems with posting video, sorry if it doesn't work for you!) She's laughing like crazy in the video, can't get sound to work! Still new here, lol.

It's hard to believe we're coming up on our last weekend in Las Cruces. It's become home for both of us, and I'm going to miss it very much. As excited as I am for our future adventures, I'm also going to miss our great friends and Cruces "family" here. I really hope that too much time doesn't go by before we get to see them after we leave. Meanwhile, we've been working (slowly) on getting things packed up in this house we've lived in for the last 5 years or so. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate! And sadly, how much you end up tossing out. It's been great Las Cruces - we will miss you! And now a little Wednesday night flashback... Chris and I back in 2003 at Tracy's high school graduation (my gosh it's been that long?!!)

And on a Rylie note, our little babe is doing awesome! She somehow manages to crack us up in her own crazy ways every single day! I love seeing her learn new things all the time, but at the same time I want to tell her to slow down and not grow up so fast! I can't believe she's almost 8 months old already! And any day now she's going to be full-on crawling! She's almost there, she's been scooting around for a while now, just can't seem to figure out how to get her belly off the floor. She for sure is going to miss everyone in Cruces too, they've been so wonderful with her! All of her "Aunties" will for sure be missed!

Two more weeks to go and new blog!

Welcome to the Brock Blog! I will try my best to keep this updated as much as I can, although the next few weeks will probably be pretty darn hectic! We only have two more weeks to go until we are off to Phoenix! As of now both Chris and I are really pushing the job hunting and trying to pack a little bit every day (or most days at least.) Chris had an exciting week last week - he headed up to Phoenix with Rylie in tow, his first trip with baby alone! (eek!) I think I had a harder time being away from Rylie than she did! But it went great, she got to spend some quality time with Grandma Lene and Grandpa Todd and Aunt Tracy. I then flew out on Friday night and spent the weekend with them, and we also had some time to check out our new digs and get more things ready for the move. We're so excited! I hope these next two weeks fly by! It's going to be hard to say bye to everyone here in Las Cruces, but I'm so ready for our next journey! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more goodies as I figure out this whole new "blog" thing.
